The most I've ever spent on boots is 120$ Canadian, and I've never had a pair last me less than a year. I genuinely believe you're lying through your teeth right now. I've never had a cheap pair last me just three months. So you have an average of over two years with these boots, and only three months with "cheapies"? I work on farms and orchards and I beat the fuck out of my boots. The fact that there's a good chance they wouldn't have done anything if that occurred after the six month warranty ends. You know, most people? Three months and such major damage? I mean yeah, if they didn't take them back they would be a terrible terrible company. So of your four pairs, one of them were destroyed within three months requiring you to I assume send them off or wait for them to send you something? That's not convenient for someone who say requires their boots for work and can't just go out and buy another pair while waiting on a repair. You say you have three pairs, yet you describe four pairs? So where did the fourth pair come from, and why do you not account for it in your first sentence? If you're going to astroturf, you should at least get your story straight? I mean if you're going to lie to people online and sell a product, at least get your lies in order. That's compared to the cheapies which didn't last 3 months. The soles are replaceable too so they may last forever. I imagine they'll last me a decade since they're basically walking boots. I did buy a pair of their American made boots for my time away from work. I take relatively good care of them, applying mink oil a few times each year. They're still mostly water proof and the soles are down to about 40%.Īll 3 of these are Chinese made. My current pair are showing their age and will probably last me only one more season out here in the Rocky Mountains. My second pair I tore the sole clean off after only 3 months. I still wear them for riding my motorcycle. The uppers are still in good shape though - broken in, soft, and comfy. I travel up and down sharp metal ramps all day long. My first pair I wore most of the tread off the soles. I've been wearing RW for 7 years now and I'm on my 3rd pair. In summary, 300 dollars for boots, 150 dollars of care products, for 3 months of service and no warranty. So, unless somehow you bought the boot with it having a large portion missing, if it shits out on you even within six months, which is WAY too fast for a 300 boot, (and both my pairs did.) You're fucked.Īnd if you even are under warranty, it won't matter, because the flagship stores reaaaally don't like taking questions. The warranty is only about six months for one, and they'll only exchange for "manufacturing defects". Which isn't even to speak of the shitty service they give if you have problems or confusion. I've spent probably over 150 dollars on leather product, finish, tuff toe, and various other products to keep the boot in good condition. There's a single puny bar of dryness on my sock, flanked by wet, miserable patches.Īnd I've babied the FUCK out of these things.

unfortunately, the waterproofing over, around, and above the to simply doesn't work or isn't there. Allegedly, they had gortex for waterproofing of course. I got a pair of "sturdy" leather outdoorsman's boots, waterproof with a strong shank, for working in welands and a tree nursery. I cannot even begin to describe how fed up I am with this company.įor one the boots are garbage. I've owned two pairs now and the waterproofing has gone out on both.
