Interestingly, the phrasing of the question about the upcoming DLC was “Can you let us know the DLC release timing? Maybe just the season?” which would seem to imply multiple seasons of DLC beyond the first Season Pass.

Summer ends this year on September 22, so Bandai Namco has about six months to release the last three DLC packs. With the DLC characters Tira and 2B, as well as Character Creation Set A, already available, the rest of the game’s Season Pass consists of Amy as a DLC character, Character Creation Set B, and one last DLC character that has yet to be revealed. One of these questions was about when fans could expect the rest of the game’s DLC, to which Bandai Namco replied that they plan on releasing the three remaining DLC packs by the end of this summer. In a recent Q&A, Bandai Namco answered a number of questions about SoulCalibur VI.

However, a broad timeline has recently been laid out. Bandai Namco has kind of just been releasing these DLC packs as their development is finished without any kind of a strict schedule that fans can keep track of. Soulcalibur VI is available right now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.The sixth mainline entry in the SoulCalibur series was released last year and since its release it has been getting DLC in the form of additional playable characters and costume sets for its character creator feature. Both new DLC packages will be available this Wednesday, December 2.
SOULCALIBUR VI NEXT DLC UPDATE
There will also be a free update containing a new stage, “Motien Pass Ruins,” a classic Seong Mi-Na costume set, and new story episodes for Mitsurugi and Nightmare. This set will contain the return of some popular costume pieces, in addition to some more Tekken themed creation pieces from characters like Paul Phoenix, King, Xiaoyu, Leroy Smith, and more. In addition to the Hwang DLC, there will also be a second set of DLC, DLC 14, that contains new character creation pieces. Despite the fact that he looks much cooler with the hat and mask, but I digress. In the latter half of the trailer though they give up the act and reveal Hwang underneath the mask.

Some new costumes to go with your new character The trailer hides Hwang’s appearance for the first half, despite his name being in the thumbnail, as he saves Seong Mi-Na from some shadowy fighters. His Critical Edge attack (the equivalent to super combos in Soulcalibur VI) is especially dynamic, featuring a Kamen Rider style kick.
SOULCALIBUR VI NEXT DLC SERIES
He also features a series of talisman and magic based moves. He is now sporting a look that is so similar to a Bloodborne Hunter, it would be comical if it wasn’t intentional. Hwang has gone under some serious changes since his original appearance, and Soulcalibur VI takes that even further than before. That is before it was renamed to Soul Blade in the West. Hwang also appeared in Soulcalibur, the sequel to Soul Edge, as well as Soulcalibur III. Hwang’s first appearance goes all the way back to Soul Edge, the first entry in the franchise. Bandai Namco dropped a trailer for the fourth and final DLC character for the game’s second season of post-launch content - Hwang, one of the original cast members of the series. On Saturday, though, we got some exciting news about the game’s future. It has been awhile since we have heard anything from Bandai Namco’s flagship weapon-based fighting game title, Soulcalibur VI.
