The reason being is that the 'fingers' do not re-treat when you use the ranged shock blast, you have to use either arrows or the bolt projectiles.
The boss with the red knight is a little trickier than normal. When you reach the giant knight, don't mess around, just resort to ranged magic attacks. When you reach the elevator section, move to the top left corner of the elevator and begin use arrows like crazy, you can take off a lot of health from the enemies but you cannot just do this move, you will need to resort to juggling enemies and using your crowd control shock move. This is great for taking down the numbers of enemies and in some cases taking out entire mobs with one attack move. Jump and start to hammer the attack button so your character flies across the screen swinning his weapon, when you hit the enemies a few times, press triangle so you and the enemies gain height, eventually you'll reach the end of the screen and you should trap the enemies in their air in an almost endless attack.

I'm a level 68 Red Knight, and I'm getting my but handed to me lolz. Seriously they do like 200-300 every attack. I have beaten the bat's cave on Insane and when I go through the Industrial Castle (I want the Necromancer), I can't get past the 2nd group of bad guys.
